$1.00 Market at Fairhaven on May 1, 2021

Fairhaven will be holding a $1.00 sale on Saturday, May 1st from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.

That’s right, everything will be a dollar or less! Clothing, books, household items, etc.

You can help by either donating items for us to sell or attend the event to purchase some of the hidden treasures….or better yet, do both!

This event will be held rain or shine in the Fairhaven parking lot (with tents) and all proceeds benefit Community Outreach.

Holy Week Schedule and Lent Devotional

We are coming to the close of Lent, and Holy Week begins next Sunday, March 28th, with Palm Sunday.
Holy Week will be observed across the Partnership:

  • Maundy Thursday (4/1), the day we remember the Last Supper of Christ with his disciples, will be a Communion service, 7pm at Fairhaven.
  • On Good Friday (4/2), we will have two opportunities for worship. At 12pm at Carnegie, Pastor Peg Bowman will host Voices Around the Cross, a short production focusing on the experience of those who surrounded Jesus at the time of his Passion. Spencer will also hold a 7:30pm Tenebrae service, a traditional “service of shadows” where the lights dim as we read Scripture and approach the death of Christ, and then wait in mourning through Holy Saturday.

On Easter Sunday (4/4), each Partnership church will worship the Risen Christ at their usual time as we conclude our Again & Again worship series with the conclusion: “Again & Again, The Sun Rises.”

In the meantime, we are continuing our Lenten study using the Again & Again devotional through the Tuesday after Easter, and you are always invited to join Tuesdays at 7pm

Blessings to you as we prepare our hearts for a long-awaited Easter!

Bible Study Starts on January 6, 2021

Prayers that you have had a joyous, blessed holiday season. As we step into a new year, new opportunities to connect are coming up.

After a break for Christmas (thank you to Pastor Peg for hosting a wonderful Advent series!), Bible study is starting up again on January 6th, resuming our normal schedule of Wednesdays at 7pm.

We’ll begin with the book of James, then move into the book of Revelation, two of the most challenging books in the Bible.

If you’ve never joined SHP Bible study before, now–in the new year and as we begin new books–is a great time.

Since we’re currently online, no worries about traveling in the dark and in the snow. And if you’ve never used Zoom, it’s way easier than you think.

Contact Pastor Dylan or Dave Smoyer for more information.
