New Midweek Prayer Service at Hill Top UMC

COMING ADVENT 2015

On Wednesday, December 2, at 6:30 pm, we’re kicking off a midweek prayer service in the freshly re-modeled sanctuary of Hill Top UMC (631 E Warrington Ave, 15210). Ever since the devastating fire in 2014, the Hill Top congregation has been outside of their building.  Now, as they re-enter their worship space, let’s join together to transform that new building into a house of prayer for all people!

There are few acts as basic to the Christian life as prayer. In fact, it’s been said that the best way to gauge the vitality of a church is to look at the place of prayer in that church’s life. When John Wesley began the Methodist revival so long ago, he received strength to change the world from weekly and at times daily services of prayer and Holy Communion.

In this new beginning for the Hill Top Church, then, we seek to base our life together on prayer, opening ourselves to the Holy Spirit’s presence and guidance.  The midweek prayer service will meet weekly, with healing prayer and anointing offered the first Wednesday of every month, including in our kick-off service on Dec. 2nd. All are welcome, and we hope you’ll join us as we seek revival of our spirits and encounters with our God. This Advent, why not prepare yourself to celebrate Jesus’ birth in a manger once more by making room for Him in your heart through prayer?
