These words from Psalm 46 are so beautiful, but are they realistic?

In our world of busyness, chaos, and noise, is it really possible to take time to be still and rest in God? Regardless of how they challenge us, the Bible is clear that there’s no growing in love of God unless we take time each day for stillness and prayer.

That’s why, over the next four weeks at Beyond, we’re going to look at strategies for making intentional time in our lives for stillness before God.

We hope you’ll join us on Thursday evenings for a light supper at 6:15 and worship at 7.

After the craziness of the holidays, don’t we all need time simply to rest in the One who came to be our Emmanuel, God With Us?”

  • The Northside Meal Ministry that Spencer UMC supports are on Sunday, February 26 and Sunday, May 7.

We supply the food for the meal, cook and serve it to the hungry.

If anyone is interested in this ministry and would like to help, please contact Pam Ozanich, secretary at Spencer know.  Her office number is:  412-881-4000.
