       A service of Scripture lessons, music, candles and darkness at 7:30 pm.

    • Beyond Service at Spencer UMC

      On Thursday evenings, we are combining our study of the seven last words with Spencer UMC’s Beyond Service, with a light supper beginning at 6:15 pm and worship/study beginning at 7 pm. 

      A companion reader for this class, Rev. Adam Hamilton’s book on the Final Words from the Cross, will be available for $13.

    • Mid-Week Ecumenical Luncheon and Worship

      Join with the churches of the Castle Shannon community for Lenten worship and a fellowship meal.

      Worship begins at noon in the sanctuary of Emmanuel Lutheran Church (935 Pine Avenue).

      The pastors of the churches lead us in worship. Immediately following, we move to the fellowship hall for a light lunch, hosted by the various congregations.

      Cost: $4 donation to the local community food bank.

      We hope you will remain for the study, “Final Words from the Cross”, led by Matt Price, beginning at 1:00 pm.

      This year’s theme is God’s mercy, as seen in many of the parables of Jesus.

      Starting at a new time – 7 pm Wednesday Nights

      According to Christian tradition, Lent is a time of self-examination and repentance, a season of prayer, fasting, and self-denial, and a moment especially fit for reading and meditating on God’s Holy Word.

      This Lent of 2016, our mid-week prayer service at Hill Top UMC (631 E Warrington Ave) is a great way to get into the spirit of this season, with time for quiet prayer and fellowship with other believers.

      Each Wednesday at 7 pm in the Hill Top sanctuary, please join us as we journey together towards the cross, where the Lord gave himself up for us all.
