  • Sunday Sermon by A.J. Ozanich

At 28:54 – 28:58 the video camera needed to be restarted and a freeze frame was inserted as a placeholder. The audio portion is recorded separately and was unaffected.

  • Marks of a Methodist

Being a Methodist is more than you might have imagined!

Wesley, the founder of Methodism, wrote that there are five marks that identify the character of a Methodist Christian.

    Those marks are:

    1. A Methodist Loves God
    2. A Methodist Rejoices in God
    3. A Methodist  Gives Thanks
    4. A Methodist Prays Constantly
    5. A Methodist Loves Others

That’s why, in our latest series at Spencer UMC’s Beyond Service, we’ll be looking at each of those marks and how we might apply them to our lives as followers of Jesus.

So join us Thursday evenings in September and October as we consider what it means to be a Methodist today.

As always, a light supper begins at 6:15 PM, with worship following at 7.  If you’ve never been to Beyond before, we’d love to see you there!

    Come join us!

  • A big thank you to everyone who supported our Summer Book Drive.

With the help of all the Partnership churches, we collected over 400 children’s books for the Allentown Learning and Engagement Center and over 100 adult books for distribution in the community.

Please continue to keep ALEC, Hill Top and Redeemer on the Mount churches, the Hilltop Alliance, and other groups supporting the learning, growth, and well-being of Allentown residents in your prayers.

    Thanks,

    Katie Salisbury
