      Native American Ministries Sunday

      Observed on the third Sunday (April 19, 2015) of Easter and celebrates the gifts, contributions and ministries offered by and with Native Americans to our Church and Society.  It was first celebrated in 1989 as Native American Awareness Sunday.

      Fairhaven UMC will have some prayers, and a special collection that will help support the education of Native Americans who wish to enter the ministry.

      When you support Native American Ministries Day, you equip seminary students who will honor and celebrate Native American culture in their ministries.  And you empower congregations that are finding fresh new ways to minister to their communities with the love of Christ.

    • Baby Shower For Pastor Matt and Jessica

      The church congregations are going together to purchase some of the big ticket baby items for our parents-to-be.  There is one person at each church who will collect money donations for the gifts between February 22 – March 15.

      The baby shower will not be a typical one with games and opening of gifts, but rather an Open House so that anyone may come and visit with Matt and Jessica and wish them well.  We will have a book of “parenting tips” for anyone to write in who wants to give advice for bringing up Baby Girl Price.  So, start thinking!

      Anyone wishing to donate tea sandwiches or cookies for the baby shower should sign-up on the list or see Flo Black or Kelly Stasik.

      Come and enjoy a night out of fun & fellowship.  The cost is $40 a person and all the supplies are included.  You will have a completed picture to hang when you leave.

      Payment is due by April 24th. Please make check payable to United Methodist Women.

      This is a fundraiser to replace the Narthex Tile Floor.
