We are coming to the close of Lent, and Holy Week begins next Sunday, March 28th, with Palm Sunday.
Holy Week will be observed across the Partnership:
- Maundy Thursday (4/1), the day we remember the Last Supper of Christ with his disciples, will be a Communion service, 7pm at Fairhaven.
- On Good Friday (4/2), we will have two opportunities for worship. At 12pm at Carnegie, Pastor Peg Bowman will host Voices Around the Cross, a short production focusing on the experience of those who surrounded Jesus at the time of his Passion. Spencer will also hold a 7:30pm Tenebrae service, a traditional “service of shadows” where the lights dim as we read Scripture and approach the death of Christ, and then wait in mourning through Holy Saturday.
On Easter Sunday (4/4), each Partnership church will worship the Risen Christ at their usual time as we conclude our Again & Again worship series with the conclusion: “Again & Again, The Sun Rises.”
In the meantime, we are continuing our Lenten study using the Again & Again devotional through the Tuesday after Easter, and you are always invited to join Tuesdays at 7pm
Blessings to you as we prepare our hearts for a long-awaited Easter!
